Learn more about the program at the Open House on April 27, 2013
Kelowna, BC – April 24, 2013 – Vancouver Career College is now offering the
Registered Massage Therapy program in
Kelowna. Starting this spring, prospective students can earn their diplomas and train for an RMT career in less than two years.
Those interested in learning more about the program can attend the upcoming
Open House on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Guests will have the opportunity to speak with instructors and staff about the program and tour the campus. The Open House runs from
11:00am-1:00pm. Check in at 10:30am sharp.
“As more people use massage to help with medical conditions, injuries and overall
wellness, the
demand for massage therapists will continue to increase,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for Vancouver Career College. “The Registered Massage Therapy program provides hands-on training so students develop the fundamental knowledge and skill sets
needed to practice as an RMT.”
Along with massage theory and technique, students in the Registered Massage Therapy program study anatomy, physiology, neurology and pathology. They also learn about clinical assessment, treatment massage, therapeutic exercise, sports treatments, nutrition and hydrotherapy. Business practices, laws and regulations are covered as well.
Graduates of the program will meet the competencies outlined in the
College of Massage Therapists of BC (CTMBC) Occupational Competency Profile, preparing them to write the CTMBC registration exams.
