We have just entered phase 3 of the re-opening plan for BC and what a delight it is to be able to meet our loved ones in person again and enjoy the little pleasures of everyday life!!! But we are not out of the woods yet. The things we can do to keep each other safe and support each other are the same. Follow these basics and do your part to bring us all back together again. At our Surrey campus, we are getting ready to have our cherished students back to in-person classes in a near future.

Dish or cone? That’s all we need to know. National Ice Cream Day on the 3rd Sunday in July offers up every flavor on the menu to honor the day! The holiday also lands in the middle of National Ice Cream Month.
National Parents’ Day honors all parents on the fourth Sunday in July. No matter where our parents maybe, this day serves to celebrate their important role in our lives. In May we celebrated mothers, and in June we celebrated fathers.
Masks are recommended in indoor public spaces for everyone aged 12 and over, until you are fully vaccinated approximately two weeks after your second dose. Please do your part to keep each other safe
As we start to put the pandemic behind us, some of us will be taking it slower than others. Be respectful and kind as you consider others’ situations and personal choices.
Starting on July 19, 2021, Jennifer Forlin will be our new Employment Specialist / Practicum Coordinator. Welcome aboard, Jen!!!!!!
National Disability Independence Day on July 26th celebrates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26th, 1990.
The ADA provides protection from employment discrimination as well as better access to goods, services, and communications for people with disabilities.
Welcome back to our second month of self-care here! As you know, we’ve made mental wellbeing a priority, and July is actually the month that kicks off the entire campaign. We are so excited to roll it out and hear more from you, our cherished community. Stay tuned for all the exciting initiatives we have coming up.
Mental Health is ubiquitous. Everyone has a relationship with their emotions. No matter how good or bad your experiences have been, it can help to share them with your trusted circle. As social beings, we thrive on hearing each others’ stories and having a friendly ear to listen to ours. Knowing that someone else has been through something similar can inspire us and make us feel less alone. Follow the hashtags #MyMentalHealthStory on FB, IG, & TikTok.
If you’re inspired by the resources we’ve shared so far, now’s your chance to tell us. This July, we will be giving out a prize to one lucky employee per province who shares their story on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. Share how you felt during the pandemic and lockdowns, how you’re feeling now that things seem to be opening up, what your daily self-care rituals are, or anything else! Make sure you use our hashtags #MyMentalHealthStory to be eligible for the contest.
