"Janurary" is derived from Janus, the Roman God of beginnings and transitions and marks the start of a new beginning. At Vancouver Career College, we look forward to mark these new beginnings with some exciting events and by welcoming new students!

Birds have always held a special place in our hearts. This National Bird Day, let's promise to protect our hollow-boned friends and amazing creatures from threats like climate change and habitat loss.

Fun Fact: Canada is one of the few countries that does not have an Official National Bird! What bird species do you admire the most?

This one is for the Tech enthusiasts out there! Celebrated annually on January 6th, the National Technology Day honors the technological enhancements that have made the way humans live, from the invention of a simplistic wheel to our mobile phones and beyond!

Need a reason to celebrate this wet-snowy winter? The National Step in a Puddle and Splash Your Friends Day is on 11th January and is perfect for those who are still young at their hearts and are waiting for an opportunity to prank their friends!

This 25th of January, channel the inner rebel in you and celebrate the National Opposite Day. Said to be derived from a kids game, this day gives people an opportunity to break out of their mundane life and do things differently!

Learning can be fun too!  Our future nurses showed us their competitive side in a silly and fun game of Jeopardy!

The smart future health care workers got game!

Our nurses got showcased their artistic side by creating beautiful art inspired by how different cultures celebrate birth and babies. They also presented their learnings to the class

The campus ended 2021 on a fun note with a festive Spirit Week. The week long celebration involved everything from festive hats, snowflake day to rocking the classic holliday colors of red and green. 

It absolutely no surprise at all that PJ day is the most popular one on Campus. Many students came in their cozy sleepwear. The admin staff joined the fun. This day is always a fave!

Sometimes less is more, and this is certainly the case for New Year’s resolutions on campus! Staff are taking up the challenge to drink more water in 2022 and all are invited to participate. The best goals are ones that are measurable, so tracking your mL consumption will set you up for success. Go grab yourself a fun water bottle and enjoy the benefits of a healthier you in 2022!
