One of the most frequently received feedback our practicum students receive, is to start "taking initiative" more. What kinds of responsibilities are you being asked to do? Start doing them without needing to be asked! Look for tasks that need doing and ask if it's something you could help with, or dive in and do it. Practicum hosts are more likely to hire a student when they can see what kind of an employee they'll be, show them you're someone who jumps in and lends a hand!
