Did you know that hundreds of local Chilliwack children are without adequate coats for the winter season?
The Social Services Worker - Youth Specialist class in Chilliwack brought it upon themselves to raise funds for the Coats for Kids initiative. Together, they raised $210 to help those in need and supply the cost of new coats for half a dozen children.
Orie Powers, Social Services Worker student, is shown delivering the cheque to Murray Honda, on behalf of her class.
Coats for Kids, a campaign initiated by Murray Honda in 2012, strives to make a difference and ensure that every Chilliwack child has warmth thorughout this winter season. Learn more about their Coats for Kids campaign here.
