Kelowna, BC – August 26, 2014 – Vancouver Career College is pleased to announce the addition of a new program to its Kelowna Campus. Starting this September, students can enroll in the Construction Electrician Foundation program.
The Construction Electrician Foundation program is designed to teach and train students for entry-level electrician positions. Starting with the basics, students will be taught the fundamental tools of the trade along with electrical principles, circuits, interpreting sketches, and installations, to name a few. Students will also be educated on the safety regulations, protocols, and building codes as well.
Aside from in-class education, students at Vancouver Career College are also given the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real cases with hands-on training. Near the end of the course, the school will help students arrange an electrical apprenticeship where they will obtain real-world experience working as an employee in the field for five weeks.
Graduates from the Construction Electrician Foundation will be able to seek employment in entry-level electrician positions, carrying out jobs such as maintenance in everything from heat in your home, the lighting of restaurants, and even security alarm systems. To ensure that your building is wired correctly, contractors and homeowners will seek these professionals for their expert advice.
This September, Vancouver Career College is making this opportunity more accessible by bringing it to the Kelowna Campus! In as few as 28 weeks, students will learn the profession’s essentials to build a strong foundation for their new career.
