Newly licensed grads get ready for careers in BC’s healthcare industry
Burnaby, BC – June 26, 2013 – Practical Nursing grads from Vancouver Career College in Burnaby and Kelowna
recently passed the May 2013 CPNRE exam with flying colours, with each
campus boasting a pass rate of 100%. Thanks to their comprehensive
practical nursing training, the grads can now confidently enter their
new careers in hospitals, clinics, schools and other healthcare
settings.
“These recent test scores highlight just how
effective the Practical Nursing program at Vancouver Career College is,”
says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for Vancouver Career College.
“We are extremely proud of our grads and wish them the best of luck in
their future careers.”
The Practical Nursing program
includes a comprehensive foundation in patient care, including the
nurse-patient relationship, medication administration, and clinical
decision-making. In addition to coursework with experienced nursing
instructors, students have multiple opportunities to develop, integrate
and demonstrate their knowledge through real-world practicum placements.
With this powerful combination, students learn how to manage
and prevent disease and illness and promote good health across the
lifespan, as well as make a difference in the lives and well-being of
patient’s families and communities.
Few professions offer as
many opportunities and areas of specialty as nursing. At Vancouver
Career College, students study and practice the competencies and
standards established by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia, the regulatory authority for licensed practical nurses in the province.
Vancouver
Career College is currently accepting applications for the Practical
