Session to teachs simple, fun art activities that can be done at home
Coquitlam, BC – June 11, 2013 – Vancouver Career College in Coquitlam will hold an art workshop for parents of infants and toddlers on June 14, 2013. Led by Early Childhood Education instructor Jennifer Changfoot, the session will teach parents fun, safe art activities they can do at home with their kids.
The workshop is the final event in support of the campus’s toy drive campaign. Guests are asked to bring a new or used toy to be donated to SHARE Family and Community Services, a local non-profit organization for citizens of the Tri-Cities, New Westminster and surrounding areas.
Along with the art workshop, staff and students held car washes on campus to collect donations and raise funds in recognition of Children’s Awareness Month.
“The staff and students at Vancouver Career College in Coquitlam have really shown their community spirit over the past several weeks,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for Vancouver Career College. “The Art for Infants and Toddlers workshop is the perfect way to cap off their toy drive campaign and acknowledge Children’s Awareness Month, as well.”
The Art for Infants and Toddlers workshop runs from 9:30-11:30am on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Vancouver Career College in Coquitlam. Free childcare will be provided.
