Practical Nursing program now available in Abbotsford
Abbotsford, BC – October 11, 2012 – With the success of its recently-launched and revitalized
Practical Nursing program, Vancouver Career College is now announcing the program will be available to students at their Abbotsford campus as well. Offered at three separate campus locations in BC, the Practical Nursing program prepares students for careers in the second-largest nursing group in Canada.
“Careers in healthcare, particularly in nursing, are some of the most in-demand,” says Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing at Vancouver Career College. “At Vancouver Career College, we’re expanding our opportunities to help students become high-calibre, knowledgeable and accountable LPNs. Our program prepares students not just for successful, fulfilling careers but also to make a difference in the community, and to their patients.”
The 75-week
Practical Nursing program helps graduates develop critical skills with courses such as pharmacology and integrated nursing care to prepare for job opportunities in settings such as acute care hospitals, home care and public schools. As part of the program, students also participate in multiple clinical placements and a preceptorship, where they demonstrate, practice and grow their knowledge and experience within the realities of the workplace.
Vancouver Career College is now accepting applications for the Practical Nursing program at its Abbotsford, Burnaby and Kelowna campuses.
