Vancouver Career College to host Info Session in Coquitlam on September 13, 2012
Coquitlam, BC – September 10, 2012 – Vancouver Career College‘s
Coquitlam campus will host an Information Session on
Thursday, September 13, 2012 for prospective students interested in learning about the
Health Care Assistant program.
At the event, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the
Health Care Assistant program, meet with instructors and staff, explore the campus and learn about job opportunities in their community. They’ll hear how Vancouver Career College’s practical training will help them develop the specific skills needed to work in various healthcare settings like nursing homes, hospitals and more. They’ll also learn about the registration process for the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry, established by the Ministry of Health Services to improve standards of care in the care aide and community health worker occupations.
As Canada’s population ages, the demand for well-trained healthcare professionals continues to grow. Health Care Assistants have become an increasingly integral part of the healthcare system across the country. Whether they’re working with residents in a long-term care facility or providing home care support, these professionals are on the front lines of the healthcare industry, doing a job that matters.
