Students preparing to enter the accounting field in British Columbia can take comfort in their pursuit of a successful career. According to a salary survey released by the Lannick Group, the accounting sector continued to thrive despite economic instability.
Released earlier this year, the survey also revealed the types of skills that employers find most desirable in accounting and payroll professionals. These include financial planning and analysis, tax compliance, financial reporting and internal auditing. Above all else, however, a strong "cultural fit" proved to be one of the top priorities for both employers and job candidates alike.
