Social Impact

At Vancouver Career College, social responsibility is part of our mission. Our goal is to support our students and the communities in which they live through a variety of charitable donations, community-led fundraisers, and partnerships. Community-focused events allow students to become more engaged in the classroom and help them develop community outreach skills.

Vancouver Career College campuses participate in a number of community and charitable events including, but not limited to Pink Shirt Day, Orange Shirt Day, and local food drives.

The first-ever Orange Shirt Day event in September 2019 was a huge success! Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses had representatives from more than 20 local bands and elder and residential survivor - Beatrice Silver - also spoke about her personal experiences and completed a book signing.

In 2019, Vancouver Career College collectively raised nearly $7,000 through fundraising and charitable work in the community. Over the past five years, Vancouver Career College has collectively raised nearly $12,000 in monetary donations and over 3,400 items for local food banks.

We are proud to contribute to local organizations and initiatives that make life better in the areas where we live, work and study. If you have an idea to improve the community, you’ve come to the right place! Fill out the form below to give us a better idea of how we can help. Please fill out this form.
